In loving memory
Brian Trejo
Brian Trejo was the kind of person who made life better simply by being part of it. Whether you knew him for five minutes or twenty years, chances are you have a story about him—one that includes laughter, friendship, a little mischief, and a memory you'll never forget.
Brian was a devoted husband, son, loving father, loyal friend, mentor, coach, and confidant. He had an incredible ability to connect with people and build meaningful relationships. He genuinely cared about others, took the time to listen, and had a gift for making everyone feel valued. Many people have shared that Brian was their best friend, helped shape their lives, or was there for them when they needed someone most.
Known for his infectious laugh, quick wit, generous heart, and occasionally pain-in-the-ass attitude, Brian had a way of lighting up every room he entered. He loved bringing people together, creating unforgettable memories, and making sure everyone around him was having a good time. His friendships ran deep, and his impact on the people in his life was immeasurable.
One of the lessons Brian often shared with his daughters was that happiness is a choice. He believed in living fully, appreciating the people around you, and finding joy even in life's challenges. That outlook continues to inspire those who loved him.
On August 29, 2022, Brian tragically passed away in a car accident. While his loss left an immeasurable void in the lives of his family and friends, his legacy continues through the countless memories, stories, lessons, and laughter he left behind.
The Trejo Golf Classic was created to honor Brian's life and keep his spirit alive in the way he would have wanted — with friends, family, competition, laughter, storytelling, and a few drinks shared among the people he loved. More than a golf tournament, this event is an opportunity to celebrate an extraordinary husband, father, friend, and mentor whose influence continues to be felt every day.
As we gather each year, we remember Brian not with sadness, but with gratitude for the memories he gave us and the lives he touched. Raise a glass, tell a story, share a laugh, and help us continue creating memories in his honor.
Cheers to Brian!
